About us

Sometimes, all you need for a perfect family or couple’s vacation is a time out, a change of atmosphere.

At Mandara Kibbutz Urim, you will find an atmosphere that you won’t find anywhere else. We believe this is because the experience gently touches all your senses – due to the green you will find all around, the chorus of the birds, the year round smell of the flowers and greenery, and the country lodging, which is – simply – pleasant.

The guesthouse area is situated in an area with an abundance of trees, lawns and flowering bushes. This creates a variegated, large garden, which offers a pleasurable, pampering vacation.

Mandara Country Lodging has 39 guest units, spread over five separate areas with spacious suites and pampering rooms that are tailored for families, groups, couples and single visitors.

At our guesthouse, you will also find that:

Each unit has a shaded and lit pergola that will protect you
from the sun and rain, with comfortable garden tables and chairs

There are a number of shaded and lit barbecue areas, with
adjacent sinks and comfortable tables, so that you can enjoy quality meat meals

Adjacent accessible parking for people of all ages and all physical conditions

We also have unique spaces that can be rented for
private use that are suitable for families and groups:

A dining room that includes an equipped, adjacent kitchen, refrigerators, tables and chairs. The dining room can seat approximately 60 people.

A beautiful pergola with tables, chairs and lounge chairs, that can comfortably fit up to 40 people

An inviting lobby – for up to 25 people – which includes a coffee/tea station and accessible bathroom

Unfortunately, after the events of October 7th, we do not provide breakfast at the hotel. You can get breakfast at the Aroma espresso bar, which is a five-minute drive away, or stock up on groceries at the grocery store in the kibbutz

What will you find nearby?

Mandara Country Lodging is a separate area within Kibbutz Urim, located in the northern region of the western Negev. The guests at Mandara are invited to experience the kibbutz atmosphere – with its milking barn and abundant field crops. The kibbutz is 10 minutes from Ofakim.

As an inseparable part of the experience, we invite the Mandara guests:

to visit the adjacent cactus garden and horse corral to take a short walk to the wadi
to marvel at the carpets of anemones which are in full bloom at the end of winter
to enjoy Nonik’s whimsical and creative sculptures and windmills dispersed along the fence
to visit the springs at the nearby Eshkol park or just to sit and relax and enjoy the beautiful and inspirational landscape and sunsets with leaf tea (fresh from
the garden)

Most importantly, meet smiling people on the sidewalks on the way to breakfast.
